Aircraft Maintenance Engineer, and Apprentice
CanWest Air has a permanent full-time opportunity for an experienced Aircraft Maintenance Engineer with an M1 rating, as well as for an AME Apprentice, located in Edmonton, AB. This position will involve line and heavy maintenance during regular business hours and will involve rotational evening and weekend on-call duties.
Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, your responsibilities will include (but not limited to):
-
Performing scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, inspections & repairs on aircraft in accordance with all Canadian Aviation Regulations & our company Maintenance Policy Manual & Procedures Manual.

Complete all required documentation of maintenance related activities in accordance with all Canadian Aviation Regulations & our company Maintenance Policy Manual & Procedures Manual.

Participate in and play an active role in our company Safety Management System & Quality Management System to identify possible hazards and/or safety concerns.

Maintain the security, organization & cleanliness of the company facilities, tools & equipment.
-
Travel as required for AOG events & training events.
Qualifications we are looking for in a successful candidate are:
-
Valid Transport Canada AME License, or for an apprentice, completion of an approved basic training course.
-
Knowledge and understanding of Canadian Aviation Regulations.
-
Legally able to work in Canada.
-
Possession of or ability to obtain a valid passport.
-
Able to work flexible hours.
-
The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
-
Experience with company operated aircraft types or similar is an asset (Beechcraft B200 series, Beechcraft B300 series, Cessna 208 series, Cessna 206 series).
-
Experience with digital maintenance tracking & record keeping/reporting software and proficiency with Microsoft Office programs.
